Chris Payn is a dynamic rock/pop artist whose musical genius shines through his electrifying vocals, multi-instrumental prowess, and unforgettable songs. Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Southern England, Chris has carved out a distinctive niche for himself as a captivating performer. Known for his infectious energy and theatrical live shows, he brings a unique blend of influences, combining the flamboyance of Prince, the eclecticism of David Bowie, and the bombastic style of Meat Loaf. With every performance, Chris creates an electrifying atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression on his audience.

Chris Payn is a UK live frontman known for powerful vocals, high energy performances and a natural ability to connect with audiences. Performing professionally since the age of eight, he has built his reputation through thousands of live shows across the UK and internationally, developing a performance style centred around strong audience engagement and commanding stage presence.
An early milestone in Chris’s career came at the age of twelve when he performed a solo show at the Royal Albert Hall with a full band and choir. Since he has continued to build a career rooted in live performance, regularly performing more than 200 shows a year across venues, festivals and live events.
Chris has fronted several bands throughout his career, including Colt 45, Hightown Parade and The Parade, gaining extensive touring experience and building a loyal live audience. At the age of nineteen he was invited to join Heaven's Basement as frontman for a one-off performance at a Red Bull live event in Europe, performing to a crowd of more than 60,000 people.
He has also performed as frontman for a supergroup featuring Frank Ferrer, drummer of Guns N' Roses, and has toured internationally with renowned pianist Ben Waters, including multiple Caribbean touring performances.
Most recently Chris has been performing with Chris Jagger, with the two now working on new material together.
Today Chris performs under his own name with both full band and stripped back acoustic formats, continuing to focus on delivering engaging live performances that bring audiences into the moment and create a strong connection between artist and crowd.
