About Chris
Powerful vocals, rich layers of guitars and keys, and songs packed with hooks built to live in your mind rent-free.
UK based rock artist, Chris Payn, performs both solo acoustic and with his six-piece band, Chris Payn & The Parade, taking his music from intimate (but lively) acoustic sets to a full on wall of sound.
Chris writes, records and produces his own music, playing every instrument across his recordings and taking each song from the first idea through to mastering.
With years of live experience behind him, Chris has built a strong following across the South Coast and beyond. With new music and live dates ahead, his story continues...
"Chris shows he’s a very capable all-rounder who more than deserves to be performing on much larger stages"
David Chinery - (Rock Regenaration)
“Flamboyant and theatrical rock music that oozes panache...”
Kerrang! Radio
“A massive thumbs up, one hell of a talent”
Rog Mogale (Void Acoustics)
“Chris' talent is breath-taking”
Sean Magee (Abbey Road)
THE WAIT - NEW EP
"This debut EP features my own songs, written from the age of 10 to now 2026. Each track tells a story of the milestones, heartbreak, addiction, adventure, highs and lows that have shaped me. Recorded, produced and mixed entirely by myself, the EP is conceptually built around just me and my acoustic - how these songs initially began - but then I just couldn't help myself and they have taken on a journey of their own.
Rooted in truth, reflection and hope, it’s my way of giving back the faith and support people have shown me along the way." - Chris Payn
